Safefeed
The Opoint SafeFeed is a product offered by Opoint that provides real–time global news data with comprehensive coverage. It delivers news and matching metadata in a machine-readable format, making it easy to integrate into your system.
Opoint SafeFeed offers extensive coverage, sourcing from over 230,000 online sources across 120 languages and 220 jurisdictions. This ensures that you receive a wide range of news data from around the globe.
The feed can be configured to tailor to your specific needs. The configuration can be filtered by language, country, region or keywords. The configuration is done by Opoint.
Yes, Opoint’s feed can be customised to cover multiple languages and regions. Our team can work with you to tailor our offerings to meet your specific needs.
Yes, Opoint SafeFeed is flexible and customer-centric. If there are specific sources you want us to monitor, you can request to have them added to your feed.
The full feed contains around 4,000,000 articles a day. If you do not have the capacity to ingest and handle this number of articles, the feed can be configured to contain just the subset of articles that are relevant to you whether it be limited to certain countries, languages or based on keywords.
Storedsearch
Opoint Storedsearch allows you to register your searches in Opoints systems and receive a real-time feed with newly found articles matching the saved search profiles.
You can either use our portal which has a user-friendly interface that allows you to write both simple and complex searches. You can also use the API solution which can be integrated into your own interface.
StoredSearch supports regular Boolean operators including frequency search and SPAN-searches. Easy filtering on geography, language and sources is available.
Results are delivered in one feed. You can either pull the content from the Storedsearch API or we can push the matching results directly to you. Articles are delivered with a Storedsearch ID matching the article to the search profile that generated the hit.
Opoint is known for our speed. We deliver news articles moments after they are published, making us faster than the largest providers in the industry. Incoming articles are matched against saved searches immediately.
Search API
The Opoint Search API allows you to search back in time into the Opoint archive. There are flexible filtering options available to allow you to get the exact results you are looking for.
The API supports a wide array of filtering options from language and geography to IPTC topics, Readership and ranking. Boolean operators are also available.
We recommend max 500 articles. If you want more, you need to set up a pagination procedure by using the “context” field.
The Opoint Search API can be used for conducting research or checking possible clients or partners and the like. It is the best solution when historical data is required.
The Opoint Search API should not be used as a live feed – Opoint offers better solutions for this scenario. API calls should not be automated.
Tracking
With the Opoint Tracking service, you can upload articles to our system and get a feed containing matching articles. This can for instance be used to track the spread of press releases.
Articles for tracking can be uploaded via the API or using FTP. Opoint can provide a XML schema to follow or we can adapt to your structure.
Articles are given a score based on the similarity with the uploaded article. Identical content gives the maximum score of 100. If parts of the original text are used in articles, the score reflects this. The default threshold is a score of 20, but it can be adjusted on request.
Matched articles will include the partner article id identifying which original article they have been matched with.
Articles will be delivered in a feed that can either be pushed to you by FTP or be pulled from our API using the StoredSearch API.
