# Data breach investigation into legacy Infomedia infrastructure

## Update – 16 October 2026

Today, 16 October 2026, Retriever completed the technical investigation into the cybersecurity incident affecting the legacy Infomedia infrastructure, in collaboration with their external cybersecurity partner.

Retriever and Opoint are now reviewing the technical findings to identify relevant stakeholders and ensure that those who may be affected receive the information and guidance necessary to take appropriate security precautions.

We continue to cooperate with law enforcement authorities and the relevant Data Protection Authorities.

The matter remains limited to legacy Infomedia infrastructure and does not involve Opoint nor Retriever’s current environment or operational systems.

We will provide the next update no later than **22 October 2026**.

## 9 October 2026

Opoint’s parent company Retriever is investigating information recently published on a ransomware website relating to legacy Infomedia infrastructure.

Information published on the ransomware website contains claims regarding data allegedly originating from systems associated with the former Infomedia environment that could contain Opoint information. At this stage, we are working to assess the validity, scope, and relevance of the material and to understand any potential impact.

The matter relates to legacy Infomedia infrastructure and does not involve Opoint’s nor Retriever’s current environment or operational systems.

Since becoming aware of these claims, Retriever has:

- Taken steps to secure the affected environment and reduce the risk of further compromise.
- Activated their data breach response process.
- Engaged external cybersecurity specialists to support the investigation and response.
- Been in contact with the police and continue to cooperate with them as they investigate the matter.
- Informed the relevant Data Protection Authority and are providing updates as new information becomes available.

The matter is being actively investigated. If the investigation identifies any impact on Opoint customers, suppliers, employees, or other stakeholders, we will communicate directly with those affected and provide relevant guidance.

We will update this notice as soon as we have new information to share, or no later than 16 October 2026.

For questions regarding this matter, please contact the Retriever Data Protection Officer at [dpo@retriever.se](mailto:dpo@retriever.se).
